By Pascal Sabbe, IT Project Lead, HICT Belgium
Product Background
For a major supplier of Medical Devices, HICT has written an extensive bi-directional integration component to fully integrate the former stand-alone devices into a generic hospital infrastructure. The integration component supports numerous workflows and infrastructures:
Requirements Scenario
A newly requested feature by some important customers was to have the Integration Component generate a new PDF report, based on a dynamically generated set of information. The information contained in the report is medical information, and is subject to strict privacy and patient safety regulations.
Solution Implementation
After research the Aspose.Words and Aspose.Pdf components were chosen. The main reasons were the ease of implementation, the extensive documentation and the assurance all required functionality was present. The new functionality was implemented, validated and approved in a record time of two days, the best proof of the ease of use and stability of the Aspose components.
Benefits
The Aspose .NET components are very lightweight, managed code, provide structured exception handling, etc. allowing software manufacturers to implement non-core functionality without hassle.
Other key features include:
Conclusions
For this project, the components gave us more then we bargained for. The implementation was a breeze, the added value ensured full customer satisfaction.
For future projects, where components might be required, Aspose is definitely the first place we will look. If they provide what we need, the search stops at Aspose
